Memoir of a Snail 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A really harrowing experience to watch - affecting and beautiful at times. A deep message that even a life with so much pain and loss, can still be worth living. My favourite parts were the outrageous, humorous bits. To me these moments provided much-needed light/dark to the film, which at points felt pretty much like trauma porn. There is something so specifically touching about animation and I am so moved by the immense work and passion that goes into stop motion.
P.S. leaf blowers are a huge red flag
