  Australian Gothic! So aesthetic the picnic was one of those trendy “vintage” cakes. Created a new beauty standard: pretty enough to go missing at hanging rock AND people care (poor Marion was irrelevant). I enjoyed the panpipe music and NATURE. Joan Lindsay and Peter Lindsay Weir have made something quite surreal, and sometimes comparable to Twin Peaks - as pointed out in the talk from BFI senior curator James Bell that introduced this screening (a BFI re-release).
