I noticed that my reactions to certain scenes change every time I watch it, different scenes maake me worried or afraid for Kiki or joyous, and I feel more emotinal about this 13 year old becoming an adult in the simple things like grocery shopping and buying a mug. Scenes that used to make me uneasy like the traffic scene where Kiki is nearly arrested no longer seem like spooky and unknowable, I feel that same feeling when I do something wrong. It really epitomises growing up for me, the good and the bad and how they're all part of that experience of trying something new.

I was expecting this to be a cheesy netflix horror film and it was so well crafted that I am shocked I hadn't heard about it from anyone. I expected something like Ma, with subpar writing but fun horror, but it was even better than bodies bodies bodies, more akin with something like Knives Out with more of a class commentary and family dynamics being integrated. The most annoying part was that the ocean was so useless. It was basically just a telephone sending a text message, literally, that guy almost drowned and did the ocean do anything? No. She had to swim all the way down to Atlantis and almost died and the oceans like, nah you got this babe xx

Actually didn't feel like 2+hours. I was thinking and while baby Jane' definitely shouldn't have abused and slowly killed her sister, being gaslight into thinking you tried to kill your sister in the first place and having your own memories and perception of self broken in that way has gotta mess you up, just saying, she was basically trained to kill Blanche because blanch put that idea in her head with the accident.
