  perhaps the most important film to me ever made. i don't know how many times i have seen this, maybe over 100. i had it on VHS as a child and would, according to my parents, watch it near daily. when rewatching today i still remember where the advert breaks were, as we had taped it from tv.

  when the mouse went to the moon i teared up ngl. like yeah he went to the moon!

  back on my doomercore hopeless kino bullshit but this was really good. films like this often fall flat because they are all misery and no reprieve, but this really works due to the small tender moments we're given that humanise the characters yet never romanticise their pain.

  who up crying to all star?

  for real though, i have no words. sobbing. this is dan's magnum opus and am so happy i was able to see it live back in march last year. he obviously worked so hard on this tour and it shows. it's a beautiful testament to having hope for the future, for acknowledging that the world is awful and people are awful but still finding something to hold on amidst the chaos.
