Not to be all "the book was better" but....
My real wish is that they would've explored the relationship between the Mickeys more like the book did. However, I think Bong Joon Ho succeeded in making Nasha a more real character, that was by far my favorite element of the film.
I knew very little of this story so I can say with 100% certainty that I will be researching exactly what happened for the next week and a half.
Sat next to a guy who absolutely did not know this was about lesbians, bro shifted in his seat every time they touched and I could FEEL his body temperature rise during the bathroom scene. To be fair, same, but probably for a different reason!!
Anyway, this was a fucking slam dunk once again from Rose Glass, who is rising ranks in my favorite directors. She knows how to build tension, how to make us squirm, and how to make oddly relatable characters.
This movie sucks??? I'm sorry but it's so horribly incoherent, I can't believe more X-Men films were made after this.
