I really liked this film- I enjoyed the abrupt cliché end and the relationship between Issa Rae and Jeffrey Wright’s characters.
What added to the experience for me was the girl sat in front of me who missed every single joke as her boyfriend scrambled to try and explain it to her. At one point she even laughed - quickly followed by “I don’t get it” as her boyfriend replied “it’s irony”. She was part of the stereotype that the film was mocking and that did add to the experience and hilarity of the film for me.
