I believe Akira Kurosawa to be the best director of all time and Dreams is the perfect send-off for an artist of his calibre.

The theme of death is recurrent throughout the film but explored in different ways, whether it be fear, confusion, or acceptance. Bong back with another strong addition to his filmography. Rob Pattinson is maybe my favourite working actor at the moment, constantly taking on cool projects and proving his versatility.

Can’t wait to see what the first 16 films in this franchise has to offer.

Holy. We just witnessed greatness. Believe all the hype. Villeneuve has shown there is still hope with modern blockbusters and has set a new golf standard that will not be topped for some time.

Dune is Denis’ passion project and his magnum opus. Every muscle in that man’s body is flexing here, particularly in that final act. I was fighting the urge to pee myself for the entirety of the film but I couldn’t  let myself move from my seat.…
