  Let me just say that I understand why they thought Persuasion would be suitable for a modernized script. Anne has an ex before the start of the book and she goes through all the emotions that any modern person would go through when they find themselves in the extended company of their ex. Modern problem = modern script, right? Except, no.

  It would have been far more charming if they hadn’t been lazy and tried to force us to understand…

  hey soooo wtf was that ending?

  i love time travel romance stories but usually they end up in the right time, not the objectively worse time.
