Idk if this was as good as everybody was pretending it to be, I mean he is great in this movie but the whole film in general felt fake. At least that rape seen was not explained properly, and weren't we here to talk about architecture???

Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters 1985
This movie bring conflicting feelings to me. It's strict but controversial, it's very heavy but beautiful, the chronicles of time are smudged and disrupted, yet they all express the same narrative. Overall, especially if you've read Mishima's novels, I bet this movie will fascinate you with it's unique approach to set building and color. Even if Mishima was not like the person he's described to be, he brings a point of view to creativity I never encountered. It's very Japanese.
