  I wanted to like this. I think Paul Mescal is amazing but even his stellar acting can’t quite save this. The character development was confusing, the flashbacks were corny and all the nods to the first film were so on the nose and honestly kinda cringey. Joseph Quinn did kill it as crazy twin #1 though.

  I don’t think I’ll watch it again, one infected spinal hole is enough for me BUT this was excellent. What a horrific and effective statement. Love Margaret in all she does but Demi!! She is back and better than ever! Not a body horror fan generally but I’m very glad I watched this.

  Beautifully shot. What a powerful story. I loved the minute details in each character, the shaking hands, the placing of glasses, the human was on full display in each of these righteous men. There is no faith without doubt. This feels like a very important watch.

  I know it’s not supposed to be a ground breaking story line but a lot of it just felt so ridiculously impossible, maybe that’s the point. I was still routing for them to kiss and stuff so I guess that’s something!
