Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024
Hungover and needed a solid comfort movie so went back to the most recent film of this amazing franchise. This is how CGI should look, solid performances and good setup for the sequels to come. Villain is the weakest of part of this film and some of the Nova development is a little inconsistent.

This is how you create an amazing sci-fi world. Dennis introduces the houses and supernatural elements of the movie early on and doesn’t rush it to avoid confusion. Visually stunning world and combat sequences. Dynamic cast that really gets you invested in the characters from the start and continues to develop the main characters all the way through. Oscar Isaac is fantastic in very scene he is in and Timothee is always on point. Love how they introduce important characters…

Challengers 2024
Still unbelievably fantastic. All three main characters are solid. Using a lower level championship match as the story arc shouldn’t be as amazing as it is in this movie. It’s truly a crime how this movie isn’t nominated for best score because it should win over everything else that is nominated. The use of the music throughout the film and especially during these tense conflicts between the characters is perfect. Still my favorite movie of last year and definitely deserves a lot more praise than it got in award season.
