Give Me Liberty 2019
I think as a Milwaukeean I got more out of this movie than someone from elsewhere would. It was exciting to see a movie filmed in recognizable areas (shoutout to Ma Fischer’s!).
One thing I loved about this movie is that it had a cast featuring many people with disabilities, but it wasn’t about disability. It was just about people. It was a rare representation.
There were fun chaotic moments, but overall it dragged a bit in parts. It could use another round of editing for sure.

The Sunlit Night 2019
While I was watching this I really enjoyed it. It was beautiful and Jenny Slate rules. Then the ending happened and I thought, “well that didn’t make sense, and now that I think about it, x and y and z didn’t make sense either.”
But oh well, it’s a rom com and all that needs is to be enjoyable while you watch.
