Kicks ass obviously (Mifune with a sword automatically earns this 3 stars by default) but I love the colorful rouge’s gallery of bandits, bosses, and scoundrels that Sanjiro swindles or slices through. Maybe I’ve played too many Yakuza games idk lol

The Seventh Seal 1957
An utterly gorgeous film in terms of style, setting and shot composition but idk if it’s due to juggling such a large cast in concise 90 minutes or myself having a Jesus free upbringing but something here just didn’t click with me as much as I anticipated. The last third of the film is damn near perfect though!
