honestly, i initially did not get this film at all and i needed to sit with it for a while and review to fully grasp the meaning.
the entire film revolves around a metaphoric plot that symbolizes much more serious topics. after having sat with the plot, and admittedly looking up others’ interpretations of the film, i ended up loving it. it’s very real, very human, and i felt like i was in the same room as the characters.

I remember watching the pilot episode 4 years ago on the day it released and I didn't really enjoy it too much… it was just meh.
Now, as the series is steadily being released on Amazon Prime, I’m realizing what a wonderful show it ended up becoming! The music, characters, and story really go together nicely and I’m finding myself not being able to choose a favorite song or character due to how thought out everything is.
TL;DR — This show addresses a lot of serious flaws in religion, while still being charmingly vulgar and comedic.
