The Monkey 2025
I’m gonna start off by saying this was better than Heart Eyes. I enjoyed a few Easter eggs that referenced other films, but as far as the plot goes, it was all over the place. Very entertaining and good kills, but not as strong of a film as I wanted it to be.

The Return of the Living Dead 1985
Just watched this for the first time and goodness gracious was it a lot of fun! Honestly, the fact that the zombies in this film are smart (luring more cops and paramedics) and fast is such a scary and welcoming change to what typical zombies tend to be. Loved the practical effects and the music!

Heart Eyes 2025
The best part of this movie was getting to see it with a group of good friends. It was better than I expected, but I wasn’t expecting much. One of my friends joked that this movie is basically “Friday the Fourteenth”. I will say the opening sequence was pretty fun.

Frogman 2023
Took a chance and bought this without it having a description on the back because I thought the cover art was cool… I’m embarrassed that I actually spent money on this. I typically enjoy found footage, but this was not my cup of tea. It just wouldn’t end! Far too long and slow and then the movie throws basically every trope at you in the last 20 minutes and that is the only time any action is in the film. There’s the bones of a great story there, but it really missed the mark. A disappointing cryptid flick.
