I wish I had seen this at the right time to truly appreciate it. I knew it wasn’t my type of movie going in, but I still hoped to be pleasantly surprised. While it didn’t leave a lasting impression, Al Pacino’s performance was outstanding.

The Brutalist 2024
Amazing performances and score. Beautiful scenes and I enjoyed the story surrounding the architecture.
That said, It’s not that of a memorable movie. I usually prefer movies with a smaller scope anyway, but this movie had so much to say that got lost along the way.
Also, no movie should be 3h30. I did however like how the intermission was integrated into the movie.

Good One 2024
Lily Collias’ performance was captivating, I’d love to see more of her in the future. I’m a sucker for coming-of-age films, and this one was especially well-executed with plenty of beautiful shots throughout. It’s a strong debut, and having Donaldson there to answer questions afterward made the experience even more special.
