severely underrated film in my opinion. the animation is spectacular and has aged beautifully which i think really shows the high quality of the style chosen. the scene transitions go so fkn hard and the dialog is also brilliant. overall i think this is more of a adult animation movie almost then a children’s animation movie and a large demographic of the viewing audience (being children, family’s) did not appreciate this adaption enough ( especially if unaware of the comics or viewers have not read them prior )

The Substance 2024
great concept but was a bit OT in certain points and the general idea could have been developed a bit better throughout the length of the film. although i really like the riped face cutout being used repetitively at the start and then end (start with the billboard and end with the poster)
