  Cute! Kind of a propaganda film but propaganda for living peacefully and slowly in harmony with the land in the Himalayas, which is propaganda I can get into.

  Pretty bad script, also, but made up for with a lot of cuteness and beautiful scenery.

  Watched with my parents and grandparents after our traditional Christmas Eve Chinese food dinner/ 7th night of Hanukkah so that we could be as Jewish as absolutely possible.

  The film was super interesting! When I hear klezmer music it resonates with some ancient Jewish part of me and makes me kind of emotional? I will be celebrating Christmas tomorrow by listening to more of it

  The kids act like adults, the adults act like kids.
  And in that way, the kids have it all figured out and the adults simply do not. Even as their children are standing on a roof about to collapse, the adults are arguing legalities and preserving institutions while the kids worry about love and each other. They’ve got it right. 

  Loved watching this with Isabelle right after our return from a small island in Maine.
