The Holdovers 2023
Sold out showing at BMFI. Awesome audience of middle-senior-aged folks, who we're getting a kick out of most of the jokes - made the whole experience really enjoyable. Movie itself was pretty wonderful, as well

My first takeaway was that each character, with the exception of one or maybe two, know what to do, but not how to do it. When stuff hits the fan, nobody really knows how to respond - many underreact, many overreact.
I think the movie dragged at parts, but was buoyed in these moments by great performances from Pacino and Cazale paired with superb dialogue.
