Ok not to info dump
But last year my grandma died who survived WW2 in Holland. Something about this movie just hit me so hard. Ryan, I did cry, a lot.I was originally skeptical of Kieran Culkin winning an Oscar for this, but he truly deserved it. This was an incredible movie that I have a feeling I will be thinking about for a while. The reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because I wish it was a tiny bit longer. But holy crap.

I thought that this movie was particularly slow paced, given that they were traveling for a long time. I just think it’s the first time I was actually like bored in one of these movies. Overall, that’s expected from a part-one of a finale, so I am not super surprised. I also just fear that Dobbys death was the first time I’ve cried so far, so that’s great.
