I haven’t had this enjoyable of an experience at the movies in a loooooonngggg time. I had 0 idea what to expect coming into the screening and I was laughing my ass off from start to finish. Definitely in the vein of Charlie Chaplin, Looney Toons/Bugs Bunny, and Month Python, this black and white, silent, slapstick comedy is like nothing I have ever seen before. At a super low budget, this film has really changed my perspective on what is needed to make a successful movie, and I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.

What a ride! Some of the main ideas central to the film (that women of a certain age are discarded, obsession with beauty and youth) is not a new one, but in the age of ozempic and experimental beauty regimens it tackles these issues in a fun imaginative way. The last 10 minutes are a total trip and delightfully campy, Dennis Quaid chomping on the shrimp was way more grotesque than the likes of Monstro Elisasue and her tragic end. Margaret Qualley plz run away with me 😍😍
