A truly bad sequel to a genuinely funny first part, where there is no narrative - just a string of bad jokes barely pulled together. The only saving quality of this is that it got me thinking about the history of crossdressing in Bollywood lmao.

Truly loved how the editing emphasizes the message of this film through sharp cuts into the never ending labour that woman go through in patriarchal settings. One scene that particularly stuck with me is when the men gather to insist on cooking a meal "themselves" - but Richa is left to both prep the ingredients for them as well as clean up the mess they leave in the kitchen. It goes to show how even when patriarchal men appropriate tasks as cooking, they heavily rely on the invisibilised work of women to make it happen. Suffocating - and beautiful lead by Sanya Malhotra.

This is honestly more of a 3* but it gets a raise bc :
- I got to stare at Fawad Khan's face for two hours
- There are several parts where i did laugh out loud
- I was in a shitty mood and this was just a wholesome lot that cheered me up
