so hauntingly similar to my own life and I wasn't expecting to start crying so early into it, just instead of go-karts it was shooting guns and building stuff. I think the ordering which a lot of the earlier, slower go-kart clips were edited together so perfectly to portray what it was trying to portray, and it made the crashing moment such an amazing emotional climax to all of that. Better Days 2019
The main thing I love is how disconnected we are from death, it very intentionally shies away from it despite it coloring the whole story and that's what makes the staircase scene so cathartic and terrifying and that is by far the highlight of the movie ! Alongside the messages and feelings of being alienated from adults who want to help and instead do more harm. Lower rating because of the relatively generic and weird relationship that felt like the focus of a lot of the story
