this just in… latest from new age visionary director is just a mishmash retread of older more compelling movies… i see that eggers is insanely technical with the production design here (two great double dolly shots and a killer miniature of the city) and i understand his intention with the lighting choices but this is less murnau and more what if you couldn’t see half the movie. the emphasis on real estate procedure in the first third was pretty funny
