Did you know that much of the film's dialogue is improvised while still honoring the structure of the original screenplay? Did you also know that during production, Al Pacino reportedly only slept a couple of hours a night, ate sparingly, and would sometimes take cold showers to emphasize Sonny's disheveled yet manic appearance? These are a few of the reasons why I love this film and why Al Pacino is my favorite actor of all-time.
