slightly more entertaining and less exploitative than poor things, but still gave me underlying lanthimos vibes (and I HATE anything he touches) so yeah, i don’t really truly trust the intentions that the film’s team presented for Oscars season; I still think there was still a layer of ignorance factored into production. fw the message but not the execution! it was definitely a good movie but it lacked depth in both characterization and plot imo☹️

Deadpool & Wolverine 2024
trekked 30 minutes in a city I’ve never been in before by myself to go see this movie. guy next to me came halfway through the movie, reeked of weed, and proceeded to get out of his seat five more times for the remainder of the movie. theater was packed and their reactions to the AMAZING!!!!!! cameos were top tier. walked 30 minutes back and am now here writing this review. 10/10 experience would highly recommend.

every part of this film was equally beautiful, raw, and terrifying. everything from the acting to the cinematography was just 🤌. i’m not one to get super emotional but casey afflecks subtle portrayal of grief felt as if it were resonating through the screen, moving me to tears each time. i fully understand the hype but i also don’t think i could ever watch it again.
