Such a poignant but hopeful story, one that forced introspection like I’ve never had with a film before.
The wonder set from its fantastical locations is reminiscent of Spirited Away, in a way I don’t think any other Miyazaki work I’ve seen has come close to. The settings are so imaginative and it’s so easy to be whisked away into the world, characters, and the beautiful animation and art direction.
