it's not even a real love. it's a pathological example of grief and love. the story has absolutely no depth. it's a movie that fails to achieve intensity even though it consists of only three people. superficial characters. and believe me, I have a hard time understanding how this movie got this praise with such a raw narrative. except for the cinematography.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio 2022

The trauma (Pan's Labyrinth) Del Toro gave me as a child is still so fresh that while watching this movie, I prepared myself for the worst in every scene. The emotional rollercoaster moods of Pinocchio were magnificent. Also it was an interesting experience to watch a movie with almost -I'm exaggerating a bit- 300-400Ms. Finally, I wish I'd quit school when I got confused too.

Memory has never been used so impressively in cinema before. He shed light on the beginning of cinema with his photographic frames and on the cinema of the future with his mind. La Jetée is a bridge that is as wide as can be and stands right in the middle.
