Anora 2024
Any movie which is able to blend comedy and tragedy so seamlessly and effectively is remarkable, and Anora is certainly able to achieve this high bar despite my reservations re: The Discourses™ and lingering confusion over what exactly it's trying to say. Ultimately, Sean Baker remains an excellent filmmaker, at the very least in a technical sense. More importantly, Mikey Madison's performance is a tour de force and a absolute standout amongst even such a solidly talented cast as this - 1000% worthy of the Best Actress Oscar

Absolutely incredible documentary on every level. The slow pan down in Siegfried Müller 's interview to reveal his Iron Cross, complete with an inscribed swastika, was one of the most impactful documentary scenes I've ever seen
