Maybe Finchers most ham-fisted outing to my knowledge. Just a mess of bad cuts and poor pacing. Excited to watch the original as the script does all the heavy lifting in this one.

Honestly very close to perfect. The performances in this movie and the heart throughout really is something special. No small parts, very Cassavetes in that way. And just gorgeous looking. I've been hating very hard on the homogenisation of modern lighting lately. Ads look like films, films look like ads. Everything is rapped in soft LEDs to a ludicrous extent. I needed this, beautiful.
