Crushing, totally earned ending. As a parent, I am of the firm belief that no matter what you do, your kids will end up having a cache of grievances fit for any therapy room. It comes with the territory. Of course, taken here to extremes, but with an ending that hammers itself back into the most intimate family moment of love. It’s a hard needle to thread, but it is absolutely well done as a fitting conclusion.
Overall, the gimmick…
Probably the closest we’re ever gonna get to a feature length version of the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad. John M. Chu said “NOT A SPECK OF DIRT SHALL BE ALLOWED ON THIS SET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.”

Admittedly highly watchable, and does a nice job laying out the basics here. I even appreciated the attempts to meme-ize the actual filmmaking style itself as a sort of wink wink nudge nudge… But it suffers from the same thing that all the factory farmed Netflix Doc du Jure fall prey to— namely, having no perspective grand enough to match the overwhelming need to mass produce these things out of the gate as quickly as humanly possible in a race against irrelevance and our collective ADHD time warp culture.
