  Just as spineless and narrow-minded as Civil War, if not more morally reprehensible as a result of its subject material, this film is a reminder that the biggest threat to humanity isn’t the depiction of violence but rather the illusory commitment to remaining “apolitical.”

  A Culture of Consumption

  For any other film, remarking that your favorite scene is the opening credits sounds like a joke. For Enter the Void, it's a bitter truth. The film promises to be a drug-induced Sisyphean trip to fill the insatiable emptiness of loss and separation, but by the end of its mind-numbing runtime, the film regrettably, and most likely unwittingly, reveals that its conception of the "void" is merely an exhibition of white self-indulgence.
