Love all the nods to the original in this. Would be kind of cool if this reboot series ended with a sort of retelling of the original film, but more from the ape perspective.
Such a great time. Fantastic action and wonderful performances. Jared Harris is an exquisite Professor Moriarty. A strong script with tons of great interplay between Holmes and Watson. It's obviously presenting an action/adventure take on this world and these characters, but it never feels like its forgetting the legacy of Holmes. Fresh, but deeply reverential of the source material.
I like it. Call it a guilty pleasure, but I'm honestly not guilty about it. It's stupid and filled with cliches, but it's fun, man. The creature effects are awesome. "Wolf" is arguably the most badass Predator in the entire franchise. The "Predalien" is such a cool monster and it was great to see the full sized version after the tease at the end of the first AVP.

Well shot, but the protagonist is insufferable and impossible to root for. Due to her own ego and quest to be taken more seriously, she is responsible for so much of the death that happens in this movie.
