As a big fan of musicals, why was this a musical??? Would have genuinely been so much better without the ridiculous shitty songs

Mean Girls 2024
Was pleasantly surprised by this, it was funny and a little bit nostalgic. Renée Rapp served CUNT and the other plastics were also slaying. Angourie Rice was boring as hell and should not have been allowed anywhere near this film. The music was a bit lacklustre which is a shame. Thought they were trying too hard to make it current for the younger Gen Z crowd instead of allowing it to be the camp MT film it should have been.
(Howling that my longest ever review is for a film adaptation of a broadway musical, theatre kid forever smh)
