Glistening Thrills 2013
I want quarantine to be over. I want to throw a party full of colors and real human bodies and Glistening Thrills projected on a wall in an endless loop. This film made me really emotional. I want to hug someone.

The Beast 2023
It’s hard not to compare everything in life to Twin Peaks: The Return, but there are unmistakable echoes of Lynch’s magnum opus in the bloodcurdling screams that end The Beast, a bleak and massive portrait of fear, trauma and regret reverberating across dimensions and time. Unrequited love one century curdles to homicidal inceldom the next, only for all human emotion to eventually be snuffed out in a post-A.I. future where “affects” are a liability to increasingly automated labor. Pitch-perfect filmmaking throughout, terrifying and moving in equal measure. Léa Seydoux has never been more gorgeous and magnetic—she’s a real Movie Star. Instant classic!!!
