Kaworu-Shinji dynamic is obviously great, but the movie kinda lacks the depth and psychology of the other ones. I guess it really is just a bridge between 2.22/2.0 and 3.0+1.0 (wtf is this naming man)
It's cool tho, but I feel that not much happens even tho big things do happen.
The ending sequence of 2.22 is still the 🐐
Way better than 1.0 / 1.11 (and that was very good!)
The ending is amazing: music, battle, animation... Maybe characters had more depth in the original series (this is a movie after all) but it's just great.

So engaging. Loved every second of it! It's such a fun musical biopic, it has its good share of drama and strong moments, great musical numbers and choreography... I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.
