  i’ve always found the concept of american small town nostalgia really interesting. to what lengths people are content with staying kept, wandering around doing the same old, falling in love in the same places, dreading a different existence until it hits them. quietly unhappy, loudly comfortable but yet at peace. filled with angst and beautiful monologues, this has such a charm about it. boredom, melancholy and americana put to its finest cinematic use. the end was so depressing but perfect.…

  so good. over-the-top, mesmerising and sickening that you just can’t stop watching it. massively grandiose for the sake of it, but the film is literally named Climax! every grandiose choice works perfectly, the long-haul (beautifully) choreographed movement and dance, vomit-inducing neon colours, satirical drama and incredible soundtrack. everything about this is vibrant! possession reference also succeeds…
