  I loved the costumes and how the film plays with our perception of the past. Its way different from other period pieces with their perfect costuming and always luminous skin. This is more realistic with it’s lack of makeup and playful reimaginations of traditional silhouettes. It’s weird and gross and ugly and beautiful and real and absurd.
