Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
I just didn’t see the point of this film, there was no way it was going to live up to the first movie. A lot of the story beats tried to capture the emotions of the first movie but failed. The characters weren’t fleshed out. Why tf would you bring the previous villain back, and the new characters’ backstories didn’t make much sense. There are a couple emotionally driven scenes and cool visual effects, but it’s not enough for a movie with a 3 hour run time.
