The Godfather Part III 1990
Sil messed up the line.
At times, this - disappointingly - felt like Coppola wanted an Andy Garcia show, and that really showed in the middle third of the film.
A just ending, but from a series so iconically superb, one expects an iconically superb ending. Hats off to Pacino a performance fitting of a Don, and for the years spent in the Corleone shoes.

Some doors close, others open.
Writing excelled here, and what a performance out of Pacino, especially acting as the “different Michaels” across all the years.
Hotel scene was hands-down the best acting I’ve seen in a long, long time.

While not quite my favorite, I have absolutely no difficulty understanding the impact.
What an honor this must have felt like to the Italian-Americans of 1972: seeing their grandfathers and fathers through Brando and Pacino. Itching to watch Part II.
