  I really love how Reichhardt tells stories. Her approach to filmmaking is mundane and sits on small moments that seem unimportant, allowing the emotional depth to really swap through. However, this movie does this less so as the characters are deadpan and not likeable, making it hard to care about these small moments. The last 20 minutes really save the film and does its best to reconcile their unlikeablity. It’s definitely worth a watch.

  This movie is pretty sick. Raimi really does a great super hero movie; I just love the Apple pie like twist he gives them. From the mop bit to Aunt Mays monologue. And the symbolism in this movie is so fucking great. My favorite part hands down is after he stops the train and all the hands on the train rally around him, centering around the logo on his suit. This directly contrasts to earlier when he throws his suit…

  Man this is awesome! I love all the bits and I could listen to Harry Dean Stanton sing forever. Makes me wish there was a western twin peaks. God I love how the first half is just bit after bit and then it’s just a variety show performance, which includes twangy Elvis Presley. This was made for me for real. I was so locked in the entire time.
