watched this with my girlfriend. absolutely incredible, beautiful film. playful, passionate. intensely emotional. an all time career defining role for timothée chalamet. she fell asleep before the peach scene. armie hammer is here and he puts in an incredible performance but unfortunately he's still armie hammer.

Space Is the Place 1974
an absolute mess in the best possible way. proof that if you have the spirit, nothing else matters. it's bizarre mix of student film-esque filmmaking, psychedelic b-movie sci-fi, philosophical musings about afrofuturism, concert footage works way more then it should. it's really funny that Sun Ra looks like he would rather be doing anything else in every shot he's in where he's not at a piano or synthesizer. if you want a movie where musicians from space fight the devil…

i adored this movie. it was unbelievably beautiful and touching and very mournful for what is lost when people ignore everything in their lives but their work. full of gorgeous, breathtaking shots of the snowy and mountainous Hokkaido wilderness and landscapes, along with incredible performances from the main cast, i was kind of a mess by the end of the movie.
the Ryuichi Sakamoto score just further drove those emotions home in a beautiful way that never feels like excess.…
