Marriage Story 2019
Had a strong urge to put this on at 9 AM on a Sunday. I promise I’m okay! Truly one of the best of my lifetime. Despite being emotionally nuclear (famously), it’s still so warm throughout and features what should be three Oscar-winning performances. The more you watch it, it becomes clearer that it’s about a marriage and not about a divorce. Stoked for a new Baumbach this year!

Had a great time with this! Kinda wish they hadn’t pulled a Maverick and showed us grey-shaded footage from the first one but other than that, I thought it was different enough in a way that kept me guessing and engaged. Yeah some CGI moments looked like a video game but Ridley is still one for the best we have at staging these huge sequences and I salute him for it
