Sorry but this film is massively overrated. It took me 2 years and two bottles of wine to have any sort of appreciation for this film that only gets good when (and I love Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman), that fucking predator Kevin Spacey gets involved. The last 1/4 is great, but before that, this is the basic bitch of films, and I can’t believe how many people rave about this movie. It’s better than I thought initially, but it’s still overrated and nothing to write home about.

Ok, so this outshines the Nolan trilogy slightly. Basically, Pete Wentz plays a cat and mouse game with a Redditor who’s murdering corrupt Gotham officials. Sprinkle in some Nirvana, some fat Colin Farrell, slight bit of copaganda, and bang, The Batman (2022) makes its mark.
