  Devoid of substance. Presents itself like Bradley Cooper skimmed a wikipedia article on Bernstein but lingered on the Personal Life section. Just has shockingly little to say. It’s a performance with all the depth of a Halloween costume.

  Extraordinary achievement in science fiction filmmaking, clearly determined to do right by its source material while balancing the reality that—while they may have helped ignite our imaginations on the page—certain elements will never translate well to the big screen.

  Taken together with the first part, this work is a momentous achievement. A peak not only for Villenueve, but for the genre and, more broadly, the careful art of adapting classic literature for the screen. At a time when audiences are being inundated with formulaic content designed to monetize emotionality, we should cherish this film.
