The Monkey 2025
Ok as context, I’ve seen ALL of Osgood Perkins film and can admit that I’m a huge fan of his vision for horror films. With that said, The Monkey is the first time I trully fee like he doesn’t give a fck except for having fun with himself - and it’s really fun to watch. Once awhile he he still showcase how good he can be with arresting horror visuals, but the whole film is just campy silly fun horror shtick - and it’s great just the way it is.
Kinda wish it’ll get a sequel tbh.
