This felt like a two-and-a-half hour long commercial raising awareness for animal abuse. Everything about the way animals are treated in this movie left a bad taste in my mouth.
The soundtrack is well done, it just simply backs a movie that tries to promote the grotesque depiction of animal cruelty as both deeply saddening and as entertaining.
Also, Marvel, why are we recycling the “villain wants to ‘perfect’ the universe but it’s really just code for ethnic cleansing/genocide” thing?

Missed its own point. The whole thing was that his dad and everyone he cared about were like “uh Mario, why would you leave a solid job to pursue some wild dream” and then he saves the world and everything and his dad was like “okay now I’m proud to be your father.” Should’ve been proud to be his father all along, that’s his child…
