Alien: Romulus 2024
I wish I felt more Fede in this movie... and honestly more Alien. It felt like they gave Alvarez the last 10 minutes to play and that he saved his juice for those moments. Andy was great, environment was great (I also love Alien Isolation), and the facehuggers were pretty scary. Some fan service references made me cringe a bit but otherwise, a solid entry in the series.

To quote noted film reviewer Jay Sherman "it stinks!" What a waste of such amazing performances and cinematography. We get it Alex, what if Almost Famous was about a war? The Purge had more to say about politics. Kong: Skull Island had more to say about war photography. Melancholia had more to say about putting Kirsten Dunst under beautiful camera work and just having her vibe.
Did a photojournalist wrong Garland in some way? He portrays them as hungry vultures.…
