  Really fun, dark, wry, sharp, and captivating. Very grotesque, but almost comically violent (though the scalp scene in the cave was pretty excessive). Interesting frame of the natives as ‘savages’ (beasts and not humans) — kind of struck me given my understanding of Zahler’s politics. Great performances, well written. Felt that it did lack some depth and nuance, and wasn’t enough of a ride to carry me on plot alone.
