I've never quite resonated with Wallace & Gromit but this felt like execution on the highest level. The detail and humanity in the animation is among the best animated movies I've ever seen. Throw in a fun, straightforward story and you have a surprisingly watchable movie with basically no flaws to speak of.

I spent the whole movie excited to see the show actually start, and then it ended and I realized I'd been completely sucked in for the whole runtime and wasn't even disappointed that we didn't really see the show itself. Really fun movie. Great cast, lots of interesting shots, snappy writing. Surprised how much I enjoyed this, although I do have some bias from growing up an SNL fan.

Really sweet film, the premise pulled me in with an interesting and storied history of the OGs of women's football, but what really kept me engaged was the memorable cast of characters brought in to tell their stories from their perspective, watching them experience the catharsis of reliving a beautiful, lost period of their lives.

Such a clever, unique film. So many interesting visual choices used to express abstract ideas in ways I'd never have imagined. Basically every choice in this movie stands out as weirder than I would have expected, but none of it feels like it's just for the sake of being quirky. A fittingly artistic movie about artistic people. Really impressive stuff from writer/director/lead actor Julio Torres.
